Members immersed themselves into the heart of Van Gogh’s paintings at IMAX Melbourne Museum and discovered the fantastically vibrant colours and passionate brushwork of the great genius, Vincent Van Gogh.
Upon arrival, Members walked the red carpet and were greeted with champagne accompanied by a delicious box of antipasto specially prepared by Peter Rowland Catering chefs at Piazza Museo.
Members enjoy the opening night screening of Van Gogh: Brush With Genius, which was preceded by a special presentation and insight into Vincent Van Gogh led by Vincent Alessi, Artistic Director at La Trobe University of Modern Art. Vincent has lectured and tutored in Art History, is currently completing a PhD on Vincent Van Gogh and also researching the role of sun symbolism in Van Gogh's work.
The evening concluded with a Q&A with Vincent Alessi, followed by coffee and chocolate in the Ron Jones Function Room.
