Please note: the next dig, in February 2011, is not accepting volunteers.
As a successful project between Museum Victoria and Monash University, the Dinosaur Dreaming fossil excavations at Inverloch over the last 13 years have yielded not only fascinating insights to the life and times of Australia’s dinosaurs, but also highly significant and intriguing mammal fossils.
The fieldwork that results in these discoveries would not be possible without the contributions of dedicated volunteers, who are provided training and accommodation at Inverloch in return for their seven days of hard but very rewarding work.
Recruitment has commenced for the 2006 Dinosaur Dreaming Volunteer Program, which runs from 22 January until 4 March 2006. Places are limited, but if you have:
- one week (seven days) of your time available between 22 January and 4 March 2006
- an interest in Australia’s fossil history
- a reasonable level of fitness
- a preparedness for physical but enormously rewarding work
- the ability to work well as a team member
...then Dinosaur Dreaming may be the volunteer program for you.
As an opportunity for professional development, or just to broaden your horizons, Dinosaur Dreaming offers a unique chance to contribute to Australia’s rich natural history.
