Sunday April 17 was the final day of the Dinosaurs from China exhibition at Melbourne Museum. Although we have now bid them a sad farewell, there is never any shortage of interest in the rulers of the Earth from the Mesozoic Era.
In response to the dinosaur drawing competition announced in the November 2004 issue of the Museum Victoria magazine, some great artwork featuring dinosaurs was received. We are very pleased to feature the work of three entrants here:
- Eight year-old Max Haslam from Box Hill has drawn a Tyrannosaurus rex, a Plateosaurus and a Pteranodon.
- Alastair Haslam, age five, is also from Box Hill. He drew a flock of flying reptiles incorporating Tapejara, Ornithocheirus, Quetzalcoatlus, and Rhamphorhyncus.
- Sarah Keeble of Seddon, age eight, drew a magnificent T. rex.
Sarah, Max and Alastair will each receive a copy of the Be a dinosaur detective booklet, produced especially by Melbourne Museum to accompany the Dinosaurs from China exhibition.
