InfoZone goes the way of the dinosaurs.
Although the Dinosaurs from China exhibition is now finished at Melbourne Museum, a new display in InfoZone on the Museum’s lower ground level gives dino enthusiasts another opportunity to see some of these impressive beasts.
Showing a variety of dinosaur skulls from the Museum’s Heritage and Interpretive collections, the display highlights the diversity of dinosaur sizes and diets, complementing the dino-centric exhibits already in InfoZone.
Impressive Iguanodon and Tarbosaurus skulls act as bookends to the display, representing both herbivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs. Between these behemoths are the skulls of Mamenchisaurus, Arstanosaurus, Gallimimus and Velociraptor.
Open daily between 10.00am and 4.30pm, InfoZone has a wide variety of research resources on topics relevant to Museum Victoria’s collections and research, including display objects, publications, videos, DVDs and electronic resources.
