Romp and Stomp triumphs in 2007.

Held on Wednesday 24 October, this year’s Romp and Stomp Fun Day for Children was another great success, with 5102 visitors recorded on the day.

A crowd full of smiling faces excitedly made their way through Melbourne Museum, as 0-to-5 year olds and their families enjoyed a day of activities including drawing, stencilling, mask making, clap-stick decorating, storytelling and more.

Young visitors were also wowed by visits from Minmi the dinosaur, Ranger Roo and the big bug puppet show.

Many museum staff contributed to the success of the event, which is put on by a range of leading early childhood organisations. These include Early Childhood Management Services, Kindergarten Parents Victoria, Playgroup Victoria, Toy Libraries Victoria, MacKillop Family Services, Sunsmart and Parks Victoria, in conjunction with Melbourne Museum.
