A few weeks ago I reported on a new interactive display at the Immigration Discovery Centre, where visitors were invited to translate "Welcome to Immigration Museum" into their own language. Well, it's been a great success, and we've collected almost twenty translations, many in non-Latin scripts: Bengali, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic... The work looks marvellous, and acts as a strong sign of the cultural diversity of our visitors.

A couple of the scribblings are more inventive than accurate, including a strange drawing of Ned Kelly - complete with a gun - in which the Irish bushranger utters (and I quote): "How ya garn?! Mowzi on in and check out this joint! Sweet as mate! Cheers big ears!"

I don't get it.
