Satin Bower Birds have bred in the Forest Gallery for the third year. This year the two chicks hatched from a nest high in a Nothofagus tree and left the nest in the hot first two weeks of November. The temperatures stayed above 30 degrees for ten days straight, however this proved no issue for the chicks and their devoted mum who has raised them full size. They still have some fluff and are still being fed by mum and will soon be independent members of the Forest Gallery flock.
