Finally our young Tiger Huntsmen are starting to mature. These are the offspring to the undescribed female we collected in the Cairns region in late 2006. They were born in May 2007 so it has taken over 12 months of intensive rearing to get them to mature. When they were young they didn’t have the intense orange and black markings but upon maturing they look as brilliant as mum. We have one of the young females on display where she actually moulted for the final time on Friday 22nd August.
