Photographs as a Source of Information A bigger picture |
A bigger picture Often we can gain a more accurate understanding of the past by looking at a more than one photograph of a subject. Look closely at the photographs of these four classrooms. Enlarge sections of each photograph to look at the details of each photograph. Discuss what you see, for example the furniture, clothing, decoration, type of work being done, equipment, expression and manner of students or class size. Discuss what you think it would be like to be a student in a school of the past. DOWNLOAD THE ACTIVITY SHEET in Acrobat PDF format (64Kb) |
