Photographs as a source of Information Themes |

Themes Selections of photographs from the Biggest Family Album in Australia database have been grouped for primary and secondary students into themes of Each thematic selection is accompanied by questions relating to the photographs. Further information for some photographs can be accessed using (SYMBOL). Photographs included in each theme are a small sample of those available on the complete database. These activities can be used as a starting point for wider searches of the database along thematic lines using a wide range of search criteria. The developed themes can be used in a number of ways. Questions posed for each photograph may be used in conjunction with activity sheets provided or as a focus for discussion. Alternatively sections of each theme may be used as a starting point for an individual or group research project. |
