Student activities and the preparation of reports undertaken using the databases relate closely to the learning outcomes of the Victorian Curriculum and Standards Frameworks (CSFII) for:

• Science: Living together: past, present and future
  Student are expected to develop skills which include:

  • Data handling and interpretation

• Studies of Society and Environment: Geography
  Students are required to:
  • Observe, collect and record data in the field
  • Process and interpret data
  • Interpret maps
  • Apply geographic skills ....to locate and describe changes to natural and built environments

• Mathematics: Measurement and data / Chance and data strands

• English: Strategies for Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Writing

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

The activities and report writing can also contribute to the following VCE subjects:
