Education Activities
The education materials attached below are to support student activities before, during and after a visit to Stuffed & Mounted.
Teachers and students should use The Exhibition summary to prepare for their visit to the exhibition, and as a basis for study, teaching and research after their visit.
For enquiries about these materials, contact Schools Education at Melbourne Museum: mmeducation@museum.vic.gov.au
Activity Sheets are intended to be used at school before or after your visit to Stuffed & Mounted. Some are simply to arouse an interest in birds, while others will require research into a particular topic. They are nominally grouped under the headings of Early/Middle/Later Years, but teachers should preview all the material and select those activities that are suitable for their students.

Student Trails are available for students to use while visiting the exhibition. They are labelled Prep-4, 5-6, 7-9 and VCE, but teachers are advised to preview the material before selecting a trail that is suitable for their students. Some teachers may well choose not to use a trail; others may choose to divide a trail among several groups of students, rather than have all their students do the whole trail. Whatever is decided, it is advisable for students to spend the first 20 minutes of their visit getting a good overview of the exhibition, and then use the trails, if appropriate.
