Wasps, Bees and Ants

Description:
Diverse group of insects ranging from 0.1-120mm in length. Most have biting mouthparts, two membranous wings and a narrow waist between the thorax and abdomen. Bees lack biting mouthparts. Most ants lack wings. Many have a sting and can inject venom. Found in almost every habitat. Eat a variety of foods. Predators include other insects, spiders, mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs. |
