Coronation medal of Queen Victoria, 1838

This is an example of the official silver medal struck to commemorate the coronation of Queen Victoria, after whom the State of Victoria is named. Silver medals like this (perhaps including this one) were thrown to the crowds during the coronation ceremony. The medal was also struck in gold and bronzed copper.
