Dr Charlotte Smith analyses the museum’s historic collections to enhance our understanding of social, cultural and political change in Australia.

Charlotte is currently working a number of curatorial and collections management projects, including:

  • Royal Exhibition Building Preservation & Promotion, a federally funded project to reopen the dome promenade
  • Visions of Grandeur: John Twycross at Melbourne’s International Exhibitions, a book and online exhibition to be released in late 2013
  • Heritage Walking Tours, development of mobile apps to be released in 2013
  • A Historical Archaeology of the Commonwealth Block 1851-1951, cataloguing and rehousing the Commonwealth Block assemblage, to be completed in 2013
  • WWI Centenary, exhibition and program development to open in 2014
