- Sample of Caesalpinia sappan wood. This was collected and prepared by T.N.Mukharji as part of his work for the Indian Botanical Gardens. It was donated to the Museum by the Indian Government, Calcutta in 1887.

- Sample of wood contained in a brown paper bag, folded at the top to form a point. A description of the contents is handwritten in lead pencil on one side.
