Cylinder Recording - Edison Records, 'Honey Boy', 1902 Reg. No: HT 12827
- Phonograph cylinder, "Edison Gold Moulded Records" brand. Recording of "Honey Boy". Last patented November 18, 1902.
The tune features a male voice singing about his 'Honey Boy' who has gone to sea.
- Black wax, hollow recording cylinder with fine grooves etched around the circumference and the title of the recording imprinted in white around the rim. The cylinder is housed in a cardboard tube, with cardboard lids at either end. An off-white paper label, printed in red, gold and black ink, is adhered to the outside, bearing the brand name, patent and copyright details, and a black and white, head and shoulders portrait of Edison. The name of the song is handwritten in black ink on the lid.
