Phonograph Cylinder - Edison Records, Comin Thro' the Rye, 1905 Reg. No: HT 12842
- Phonograph cylinder, "Edison Gold Moulded Records" brand. Recording of "Comin' Thro' The Rye". Last patented May 23, 1905.
- Black wax, hollow recording cylinder with fine grooves etched around the circumference and the name of the recording imprinted in white around the rim. The cylinder is housed in a cardboard tube, with cardboard lids at either end. An off-white paper label, printed in red, gold and black ink, is adhered to the outside, bearing the brand name, patent and copyright details, and a black and white, head and shoulders portrait of Edison. The name of the recording is handwritten in black ink on the lid.
