- 55 minute videocassette in colour 'Cultural Conflict' produced by the Ministry of Education. The film explores the themes arising from four novels : Mister Johnson by Joyce Cary ; The inheritors by William Golding ; A place apart by Dervla Murphy ; and The immigrants by Wendy Lowenstein and Morag Loh. Through these novels it examines the nature of conflict between cultures and within the cultures, the problem of cultural identification and the resolution of cultural conflict are discussed. The film also questions whether cultural conflict is necessarily a bad thing.
