Magazine - Sports Novels, August 1958 Document Reg. No: HT 8485

Magazine published in Sydney in August 1958, and proclaims itself to be `Australia's leading sporting magazine'. It contains a number of articles related to boxing, football (both rugby and Australian rules), golf and athletics.There is also a four page article on the 1950s Australian race horse `Tulloch', with the theme `Is Tulloch greater than Phar Lap'.
Rectangular magazine consisting of fifty thin paper papers inside a glossy paper cover. The pages are attached by two metal staples. Inside is printed in black ink with extensive text, illustrations and photographs. On the front cover is the title `Sports Novels', information about the contents and a coloured photograph of two rugby players, as well as the name `Ireland' written in pencil. On the back cover is an advertisement for a Kriesler Triplex portable radio.
