- Summary:
- Patch presented in 2005 by the Hamilton Women on Farms Gathering committee for the Women on Farms Gathering perpetual banner. The theme of this Gathering was "Hats Off to Rural Women!" According to the Hamilton Gathering Proceedings, "The four hats chosen describe the diversity in our daily lives and those fields we represent, including academic achievement, business, farming, and the ability to still manage time supporting emergency services." The patch is now attached to the perpetual banner extension which is used at the Gathering each year.
- Description:
- Square fabric patch printed in shades of purple with purple ribbon edging. A purple logo, surrounded by a green border, is printed on the fabric. It depicts a hat stand with four hats and the text 'Hats off the Rural Women!/ Hamilton 2006'. The hats depicted include a women's fashion hat, a mortar board academic hat, a hard safety construction hat and a wide-brimmed acubra hat.
