- Digital photograph of Maureen Walsh, a participant, workshop leader and speaker at the inaugural 1990 Women on Farms Gathering. During the Gathering Maureen was on a panel of three speakers and delivered an account of her experience of farming. She also ran a workshop titled, 'The Changing Role of Women on Farms', in which she argued that 'we need to improve the long-term credibility of women farmers' and 'lobby community institutions to change their perceptions' (1990 Warragul Gathering Proceedings). Maureen was an active advocate for women farmers throughout the 1990s and was involved in organising the 1994 First International Women in Agriculture Conference.
