This is a picture of my Great Great Grandparents - Edward William Stephens and his wife Maria Jane Stephens standing to his side. The young ladies pictured, their daughters Maria Adeline Stephens (my Great Grandmother and I think in the centre, using some of our other pics and a magnifying glass) and Maud Lemin Stephens. I have recently read the articles about the Furneaux field trip and to my surprise when I googled old pics on Cape Barren island was simply stunned ++to see this picture, it has aways been in our family. Edward and Maria lived on Cape Barren Island prior to moving to live with Adeline who married Henry Boaz Briant at Samphire River, Flinders Island in 1900 where he was responsible for his grandchildren's education.- Deb
