- A pair of female platform shoes consisting of a white leather upper with black patent leather around the heel and toe areas, with three pairs of red metal eyelets along the opening. It has a 8.5 cm high heel.
These shoes were made under licence in Melbourne for the Prue Acton Company in the early 1970s. Prue capitalised on her reputation as a designer, by allowing companies to produced items bearing her name under licence. They were then sold through her boutiques, and other shops which stocked her garments. Similar shoes, except for having a wedge heel, were featured in an article `Our Girl of `72" in Dolly Magazine, March 1972. The donor purchased the shoes from a charity shop in Henty, NSW, in 2007 for $4.00.
