I am stoked! I have been researching my father's family history. My great grandfather is Francis Harvey who is sitting in the front row in the middle of the picture of the eight brothers. My Father, who recently passed away, Francis Leighton Harvey is the son of Leighton Malachi Harvey whose father was Francis Harvey in the picture. I am just sad my father never got to see this as he was deperate to try and find his family roots. Please contact me if you are able to provide any information you may have. Dad's father had an older brother named Francis Grant Harvey their mother's name was Barbara Leighton Millar.

This photo is I understand taken after their Mother's Funeral. Her name is Elizabeth and she is buried at the Box Hill cemetery.

Hi Veronica and Nick,
I am so happy to hear from both of you. I have given permission for my email address to be forwarded to both of you. I can't believe that my posting has made this connection. I am only sorry I didn't do this before my father past away in December. I have a load of questions that hopefully either of you might be able to help me with about my father's family background on both the Harvey side and Leighton side. Nick I carried on the Leighton name using it as a middle name for my youngest son. Veronica I also included the Harvey name as my brother only had daughters and the Harvey name stopped with him, so my youngest son has a very long name which I am not so sure he is happy with! Please both of you make contact I look forward to hearing from you. Kerry
