Black and white, silver gelatin photograph of a Kodak presentation dinner in Sydney to welcome home those Kodak employees who had served in World War II, 1945.

This photograph is one of a series of eight black and white photographs. This dinner was held for the Sydney branch and was one of a number of dinners held in 1945. Two men are signing dinner menus at the official table for the men and women who are standing behind. The man on the viewer's right wearing glasses signing the menus was presented with a plaque in another photograph in this series, MM 96067.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Description Of Content:
In the photograph two men are signing dinner menus at the official table, with a group of men and women standing behind them. Two other men sit either side of the men at the table. Flowers, bottles, ashtrays, glasses and teacups sit on the table, and Australian and American flags hang behind the group on the wall.
