Inscriptions: 'More uniformly compact cut luncheons for cattle will be offered next baling season as a result of this hydraulic bale tensioning control unit located on the tractor fender at the right of the operator. The unit comprises a small hydraulic cylinder, hand pump, release valve and pressurre guage. The hydraulic line is connected to a ram mounted above the manual bale density control rails and springs on Massey Ferguson 503 and No.10 Balers. Instead of relying on an "average setting" in hay crops of varying maturity and weight (e.g. in hills and valleys) the farmer will be able to make fine "on the move" adjustments to maintain even bale density throughout. If the pressure drops in riper hay, a couple of pump on the handle will increse it. This easily detachable unit is in limited production in 1965; full production next year.'
