The signage indicates a building company based in Sydney. The Philip Morris van establishes a possible date of mid to late 1950s. Philip Morris (Australia) Pty was established in Australia from 1954 to cater to the Asia-Pacific region. Nigel Beale in his unpublished history of Kodak states that the George St building was redeveloped around 1953/1954 and took several years to complete [see Supplementary material for reference].
