Birth certificate for John William Gordon-Kirkby. It states that he was born in Gibraltar on 26 August 1936. John William Gordon-Kirkby's parents lived in La Linea but due to the political instability in Spain went across to the hospital in Gibraltar so he could be born on British soil. They left for Morocco in 1939 and were trapped there when war broke out. John migrated to Australia in 1961, with his application rushed through the approval process after he was sponsored by an Australian couple he had met while they were holidaying in Morocco.
Certificate with typed black text with details handwritten in black ink. There is a red seal at the bottom of the document.
