Acrylic eye prosthesis made by Loyer Artificial Eyes, Burwood,Victoria, circa 1999.

The round artificial eye has a blue iris and red blood vessels have been painted onto the sclera (white section).

The prosthesis is inserted into the eye socket and held in place by the eyelid of the patient. Acrylic eyes can replace a portion of the damaged eye or the entire eye.
