Publicity Brochure - H.V. McKay Massey Harris, Model 25, Tractors, 1935 TradeLiterature Reg. No: TL 000641

Brochure from 1935 promoting McKay Massey Harris tractors as a "modern" option for "modern farms". The publication contains a number of photographs of tractors in use by farmers throughout Australia.
The publication contains a number of different tractor designs, including models with rubber tyres (an advance from the earlier use of steel wheels) which was an important development in tractor technology that began in the 1930s.

This brochure was published at a time when many farmers were in a transition from horse power to tractor power, the publication may be aimed at attracting this new market. The merger of H.V. McKay with Massey Harris in 1930, enabled the company to expand its product range to include tractors.
