Wrist Watch - Trench, ANZAC, 1920s Object Reg. No: HT 25378

Summary:
Gents trench wristwatch, marked 'ANZAC watch', 1920s.

Swiss movement and nickel case, presumably with Australian dial. This 1920s wristwatch would appear to be an attempt to use the ANZAC name to sell watches. The name ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) was quickly controlled from commercial exploitation by government, and further research will be needed to identify the distributor of this watch.
Description:
Manual, circular white dial with skeleton Arabic numerals, sub-seconds at six, nickel case and replacement brown leather bands.
Discipline: Technology
Dimensions: 35 mm (Diameter)
