- This commemorative medal was excavated at Casselden Place in 2003. It was made in 1853 to commemorate both the cessation of transportation in Tasmania and the Jubilee of the foundation of the Colony of Tasmania (Van Diemen's Land). They were given to people who had served on anti-transportation committees. Only 100 of these bronze medals were made for the Tasmanian committee. There were 9000 struck in white metal and 1 in gold at the Royal Mint in London. For this reason they were distributed in c.1855, 2 years after transportation officially ended.

- LARGE MEDALLION COMMEMORATING THE CESSATION OF TRANSPORTATION IN TASMANIA. AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO PIERCE A HOLE THROUGH IT. ONLY 100 OF THESE BRONZE MEDALLIONS WERE STRUCK. THEY WERE GIVEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAD SERVED ON THE VARIOUS ANTI-TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEES
