Digital Photograph - Boy in Humpty Dumpty Costume, with his Brother, for Kew Fete, 1954
Reg. No: MM 110037
- Description Of Content:
- A boy in a papier mache Humpty Dumpty costume, standing next to another little boy.
This photograph shows Robert Mierisch, dressed as Humpty Dumpty for the local fete in Kew in 1954, wearing the costume his father Charles made for an East Kew Sunday school concert. The costume had a steel frame and crepe paper covering. Robert stood in the rain outside the fete to encourage visitors. At the end of the day a neighbour refused to drive Robert home with the wet costume so it was left at the fete. The costume was left out in the rain and was ruined. - Acquisition Information:
