Opening Ceremony of the 1956 Olympic Games, 22 November 1956, out on the Melbourne Cricket Ground oval. The photographer, Marlene Trenberth, was an official driver for the 1956 Olympic Games. She was admitted into several events for free, including the opening of the Games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
