Description Of Content:
Girl in a pinafore and dress on the front path. Behind her is a picket fence and a weather board house with corrugated iron roof. Sandringham, 1912.

This young girl, Eva Clark, lost her mother at a young age and was moved around a lot to anyone who could look after her. At this stage Mrs Watson, a decorator, was looking after her. This house is still standing. The address was then Bamfield Street North in Sandringham but the name of the street has since changed. The house was called 'Elan'. This part of Sandringham was then known as Gypsy Village.
