I have just watched the DVD The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. The scenery reminded me of my time at Prince Henry in October 1967, where I was isolated with typhoid. I was told at the time that mine was the first reported case since WWll. Anyway, the memories triggered a Google search for photos of PH, as I have such beautiful memories of being so well cared for, not to mention the beautiful view down to the ocean. Gorgeous! When I saw the photo of this young nurse, I instantly felt the timing was spot on. All the staff, interns and students who came to look at me, take all details, leaving no stone unturned in their search for the source, were just lovely, and this is my first real opportunity to say a huge Thank You.

Trained at Prince Henry Hospital January, 1968 to June 1972. Unfortunately over the years have lost touch with very good friends I trained with during those years, would love to hear from them.

I began my training at PHH in October 1965. I found this site this evening when I was wondering if it's possible to find lists of the nurses who trained all those years ago. Would love to hear from any who may remember me. I do remember Rosemary Fotheringham at least by name.

I didn't train at PH but worked there from 1978 to 1980. I also lived in the nurses Home. I worked mostly in the diabetic unit and paediatrics. Wonder if anyone remembers me. My maiden name is Flavel.

Class of March 1961. Have kept in touch and shared many wonderful reunions. Off to the Dandenongs tomorrow for a 'sleepover' to celebrate 50 years since graduation. Great memories not just of nursing but growing up together, sharing life's highs and lows.

March 61"girls ",had a great anniversary celebration at Chestnut Lodge Kallista. Seven of us thoroughly enjoyed being 18 years old again even if it was only in our imagination. We all value our long friendships fostered at PHH. How lucky we are to still have each other after all these years.
