- This image was taken on St. Margaret Island in Gippsland. Arthur O'Connor is driving the plough and his brothers and sisters are pulling it, circa 1910.
John Joseph 'JJ' O'Connor leased St. Margaret Island to graze cattle there in the summer, in the early 20th century. The photographer of this image, Doctor Sydney Pern, was a friend of the O'Connor family, who lived in Yarram. In addition to his duties as the local GP, he was an enthusiastic amateur photographer.
