This photograph shows ICI House, No. 1 Nicholson Street under construction, East Melbourne, 1956. It has now been heritage listed, as it was the first glass skyscraper in Melbourne. The photographer remembers 'At the time it was very impressive and caused a big stir.' He took a photograph of it 'because it was unusual, he'd come from and the country and he'd never seen anything like it.'
