This photograph shows David Meale on board the promenade deck of the 'MV Orontes', at Station Pier, 1952. David was aged 15. His family visited the ship twice to farewell a friend, who was making an overseas voyage. He remembers they went 'once informally, and then on the day of departure visited formally.' He is wearing shorts. - Acquisition Information:
