Digital Photograph - Baby in Wooden Playpen, Backyard, Kew, 1954 Image Reg. No: MM 110698

Description Of Content:
A baby in his wooden play-pen, on the back verandah. He seems to be trying to give someone something over the pen.

This photograph shows Peter Schlesinger, aged 18 months in his playpen at Kew, April 1954. The wooden playpen is in the backyard at the Schlesinger family home outside the kitchen window. His sister Judy remembers this was 'a good way to be sure that you knew where your toddler was.'
