This photograph shows the Beedles family eating an evening meal in their 'breakfast room' in the family home, Ivanhoe, 1955. The photographer Russell Beedles remembers it was 'not breakfast, despite the name of the 'breakfast room'.' Russell's father Jack is in overalls from working around the house. Generally the evening meal was the only one when the family got together.
