Description Of Content:
Crowds waiting outside the 'Moonface' gateway at Luna Park. The gates have not yet opened. The 'Moonface' is quite dark in colour.

This photograph shows the Atkinson family outside the 'Mr Moon' gateway at Luna Park, 1949. This was one of the family's first outings in their new home country. Luna Park became a regular outing as St Kilda reminded the English family of an English seaside town. Even after the family moved to Gippsland, they still returned to visit Luna Park.
