This photograph shows the Atkinson family looking in a shop window, Moonee Ponds, 1949. After emigrating from England the Atkinson family bought a milk bar in Moonee Ponds, after only six weeks in the country. The Atkinson family's mother and father had given them some start-up money, 1000 pounds to buy a business.
