This photograph shows a group of unknown women and girls, walking on Ninety Mile Beach, circa 1910.

The photographer, Dr Sydney Pern, was a doctor, grazier and amateur photographer. He was a friend of the contributor's family, who lived in Yarram. In addition to his duties as the local GP, he was an enthusiastic amateur photographer.
