This photograph shows Patricia Von Sonnewald holding her first child, Rebecca Tira Von Sonnewald in the kitchen of her family home, Elwood, 1950. Patricia remembers: 'This would have been the day Patricia came home from hospital.' The photograph would have been taken in the Von Sonnewald's kitchen in Elwood. The icebox is visible behind her. 'It was a very hot day, Henrick turned up at the hospital with a new convertible sports car, an Austin A40, to surprise her. After he took her home, they had lunch and he took Patricia out to learn to drive it.' - Acquisition Information:
