This photograph shows Nola Russell, Lorraine Fly, John Richardson, Margaret Fly and Noel Miller at a birthday party, Caulfield, November 1946. These children are celebrating the two sisters Lorraine and Margaret Fly's shared birthday. Only the cousins and a friend and a neighbour were invited. The small windowed boxes in the fire surround are recessed cavities with ornaments inside.
