This photograph shows 'Baluchistan', the home of Derek and Effie Moore in Sunbeam Avenue, Ringwood East, circa 1965. The house was called 'Baluchistan' after the name of the ship that Derek Moore sailed on when immigrating to Australia. Derek arrived in Australia on 3rd Sept, 1947 from Sunderland, United Kingdom. Prior to that Derek and Effie were pen friends while Effie was attending Upwey High School Victoria. Derek was serving time as engineer with Thompson Brothers Shipyards, Sunderland. - Acquisition Information:
