Telegram from R.L.J. Ellery, Government Astronomer to Mr Moore, Crown Lands Office, 14 January 1873, requesting the attendance of Frederick Kemp at Melbourne Observatory.

Kemp at the time was employed at the Crown Lands Office, but was soon hired by Ellery. Kemp was assistant astronomer at Melbourne Observatory from 1873 to 1914.
