Summary:
Lantern slide depicting a man carrying baskets on pole, with thatched buildings in background. Although the location of this image is unknown, it appears to depict a building of a style traditionally constructed in Samoa. In Samoa, Tonga and Fiji the word fale is used for traditional style houses.

Part of a collection of 55 photographic lantern slides, glass negatives and acetate negatives of travel images taken in the Pacific Islands, probably in the late 1930s. The slide is numbered '11'.
